Mrs. Enny Velasquez –  Bio

Enny VelasquezMrs. Velasquez was born in Tapachula, Chiapas Mexico which is in the southern part of Mexico. Enny Velasquez has been teaching music to children and adults in Victoria, TX and the surrounding counties for over twenty years.

At an early age she was influenced by her mother Irma Caceres to study music. Her mother would take Mrs. Velasquez and her sister to the Casa Del La Cultura “the Culture Center”. There they studied music theology, and took private keyboard and piano lessons.

At the age of thirteen, both her and her sister began teaching students at the Culture Center. They taught piano, recorder, and music theory. Mrs. Velasquez went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the Seventh Day Adventist University of Montemorelos in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Later she met and married Mr. Edis E. Velasquez.  Mr. Velasquez holds a Bachelor Degree in Theology and teaches Spanish.  They resided in Montreal, Canada and eventually settled in Victoria, Texas.

They have 3 children, who also play an assortment of musical instruments. Eddys Velasquez (guitar, piano), Enny Marina Velasquez (piano, violin, sings), and Mariana Velasquez (piano, violin, cello, sings).

Mrs. Velasquez is committed to providing a loving and supportive environment, where any child can learn to play and enjoy music. She will continue to look forward to teaching all students, so that each of them can reach their hidden potential.
